The schooner departs from Manaus, capital of the State of Amazonas, for a 4-day cruise visiting the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
The cruises depart from Manaus, capital of the State of Amazonas, a city in the jungle that prospered during the rubber boom last century. This is a four-day cruise visiting the Anavilhanas Archipelago, the largest river archipelago in the world, and its igarapés (permanent river channels) and igapós (non-permanent river channels). Due to its acid waters, endemic mosquitoes are practically inexistent. The cruise also includes daily explorations and activities in safe motorized boats into the jungle, as well as a rich Amazonian cuisine served in the panoramic restaurant.
- Exploring Anavilhanas Islands: Enjoy a boat ride at sunrise, observing the forest awakening and the diverse birdlife. You'll also have opportunities for guided jungle treks and visits to indigenous communities to learn about their way of life.
- Meeting of the Waters: Witness the natural wonder where the dark waters of the Negro River meet the sandy-colored Solimões River to form the great Amazon River. Experience fishing for piranhas and nocturnal canoe rides to spot caimans and other wildlife.
- Interacting with Wildlife: Stop at the "Recanto dos Botos" floating station to interact with pink dolphins and feed the famous Pirarucu fish. This offers a unique opportunity to connect with Amazonian wildlife.
- Exploring the River: Your journey also includes opportunities to explore the unique Amazonian ecosystem, including viewing giant water lilies and experiencing the beauty of the Negro River. The cruise provides an immersive experience of the region's flora and fauna.
